Grant Howell is a well known government agent in the service of law enforcement, having worked in various agencies. He is actually a Senior Agent for the National Security Agency, and is associated with the Spec Ops Division. During a visit by the French Prime Minister to Washington D.C., in which Alexander St. Vincent collaborated as a host for the U.S. Government, Agent Howell was in charge of a special Security detail commisioned to serve as protection for the visiting dignatary. Unknown to everyone, a secret terrorist attack occurred in the course of the diplomatic visit and the minister´s life was in danger. Thanks to his quick action, Howell managed, with the assistance of the Archangel twins, to help and save the visiting minister´s life. This incident led St. Vincent to form the team he code-named The Crusaders. Since then, Howell has crossed paths with St. Vincent, wondering about the close realtio between the mysterious special unit that performs and assists in certain missions and saves those in disadvantage, who have no means or no one to defend them. Howell has questioned himself about this, but he sees this as a force of change for the best. He has crossed more than once with the man known as Mr. Bishop, having faced him and even crossed a hard punch, but respecting him in the end. Howell is a brilliant agent and an experienced investigator. His sources of information provide him with a vast network of facts and resources, which he uses in good time as a powerful weapon in crimefighting and law enforcement. He is an excellent marksman and a skilled fighter.
