Each family in their clan is given an animal spirit, and that animal explains their family and their chakra. Hitomi and Mamoru's family was given the spirit of the bear, which means strength, and determination. And so when Hitomi and Mamoru combine their chakara together or one of them is using their chakra at it's highest, the spirt of the bear is along side them..... //
